Chocolate Blueberries

I usually treat myself to blocks of dark Lindt chocolate whenever I want to treat myself.

I opt for the 70% dark chocolate, which according to the Lindt website is now made Vegan. For snacks I often melt four blocks (two treat portions) and coat my blueberries in chocolate. For an even better taste, I add cracks of salt to the top of my melted chocolate. They’re divine and absolutely perfect!

There’s a sweet, salty and chocolate taste that I cannot duplicate with another fruit. This recipe is a must if you’re trying to avoid indulging in too many refined sugars.

Fun about chocolate. Dark chocolate improves brain function and boosts your mood. It’s full of antioxidants and it has the ability to lower your blood pressure. It also reduces the risk of heart disease and raises good cholesterol.

Ingredients

1/2 cup of bluberries

4-6 blocks of Lindt 70% dark chocolate

salt for garnish

Method

  1. Melt chocolate in the microwave. One minute at a time. Stir in between these bursts.

  2. Coat blueberries by dropping them 5 at a time into your bowl of chocolate. Lift them out with a fork and let them cool on some parchment paper.

  3. Coat with some rough salt. (this step makes all the difference.)
