Strawberry And Kiwi Ice Lollies
The heat is on and summer is here. With the mercury rising to crazy levels it’s sometimes hard for me to resist the ice-cream truck that moves around my neighborhood with gusto.
Since my apartment is north-facing and in direct sunlight from dawn til dusk, in summer I often feel like Frozen’s Olaf, melting near a fireplace. Last year I became obsessed with making ice lolly’s and used to substitute my snacks in the morning and afternoon for 1 frozen treat. This year I’m doing the same thing and my mother and I have been enjoying my cool mounds of fruity flavors for the past couple of weeks. This recipe is two of my favorite flavors, but you can use blueberries, or whatever fruit you fancy to suit your palette.
Ingredients
1 cup of plain yogurt
Honey suited to your taste/30 g Xylitol if you want less sugar in your lollies
250 g fresh/frozen strawberries/250 g Kiwi Fruit
Method
Blend all ingredients well and pour into frozen lolly moulds.
Enjoy frozen.
