Avocado Dessert
The creamy green flesh of avocados is addictive, especially if you’re like me and grew up with an avo tree in the back garden.
My mother used to make my brother and I a green dessert when we were young and I would, almost every time, add more sugar to my helping. I loved it, and would later learn that my bowl of happiness was a simple combination of milk, avocado and sugar.
Mash it up with a fork or blitz it in a food processor. How ever you have it, it’s wonderfully satisfying.
Did you know: Avocado is technically a giant berry with a massive pip. It is high in fat and contains more potassium than a banana so it’s great for exercise enthusiasts. It’s also fiber rich and can enhance your mood because of it’s rich folate properties. To ripen a hard avo try putting it next to banana’s or in a brown bag with a tiny apple.
Ingredients for 2 portions
1 ripe avocado
Sweetener/Xylitol/Sugar to taste
1/3 cup milk
Method
Mash/Blend everything in a food processor.
Scoop into a bowl, cover with cling film and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Enjoy cold.
