Flu Busting Juice

I’m a sucker for a good juice but I hate drinking calories so I’ve learnt to press my own. At least I know it’s divorced of sugars and any additives.

I recently met a women in Cape Town who owns her own juice business. She ignited in me a passion to share this recipe of mine. I’ve often posted it on my Instagram stories but I somehow have not done it here.

This concoction is something I drink every week and I’ve been doing this since the start of lockdown. It helps me too when I’m feeling ill. I must point out that I have never had Covid-19. I’m not sure if I had it and was asymptomatic because I regularly suffer from sinus and feel a bit fluey.

When this happens, I drink AirImmune twice a day, take a simple sinus tablet and drink this juice. It works.

Did you know: Most juices are very high in sugar. If you press your own, you can control the amount you consume and it’s an added bonus because you can get some of your veg in through a straw.

Ingredients

Thumb size of ginger, peeled

3 carrots, peeled

1/2 bunch celery, washed

1/2 cucumber, sliced in half

1/4 tsp turmeric

Method

Juice all of the above and dust with 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
